More praise from the Toronto Sun about The Crossing Guard...

"On the surface, this is a little play, requiring only three actors and clocking in at less than an hour -- but Karasik nonetheless packs a fair bit of emotional baggage..."

"Reineke's Jim runs the gamut from vital to querulous and back again, Karasik capitalizes on an unusual gift for stillness...Dottor brings a natural cheeriness that's a delight. "

“A big step for an aspiring playwright and that’s worth celebrating.”

The Crossing Guard
by Daniel KarasikOn_Stage.html
Each school day, seventeen-year-old Timothy returns to the neighborhood crosswalk where his sister, who disappeared seven years ago, told him to meet her. Each school day, for seven years, he's seen Jim, the crossing guard. A friendship has developed.

And then one day Jim too, without explanation, fails to turn up.

A play about fidelity and the difficulty of letting go.On_Stage.html
